A New Fitbit, Just for Kids
The news of the new Fitbit appeared on The Verge. Fitbit is not a stranger to promoting kid’s health; its Fitbit Ace range focuses entirely on getting children out and about. However, Fitbit is now releasing the Ace 3, and it’s already set to be a winner amongst parents concerned about their child’s exercise habits.
The Fitbit Ace 3 works with kids aged six and up and sports some impressive stats over its older counterparts. For one, the Fitbit can now last eight days without needing a recharge, so your kids aren’t permanently tethered to the charging cable.
The Fitbit has a pedometer to track how many steps your child makes, and even monitors their sleep health to ensure they’re getting enough shut-eye before going to school. The Ace 3 also comes pre-programmed with recommended daily health goals to help get your kids into shape.
Fortunately, the Fitbit Ace 3 isn’t just all tech and no style. The watch face sports some adorable animated face designs that develop as the wearer progresses with their daily goals. It also comes in some cute and attractive colors to appeal to kids.
If you like the sound of this, the Fitbit Ace 3 isn’t ready for release at the time of writing. However, you can ensure you’ll get one by pre-ordering it on the official Fitbit Store. The Fitbit Ace 3 weighs in at $79.95 and ships on March 15, 2021.
The Fitbit Ace 3: A Perfect Companion for Post-Lockdown Life?
Fitbit’s delivery of the Ace 3 comes in at an interesting time. At the time of writing, the threat of COVID-19 is still present. However, some countries now allow, or have always allowed, kids to go to school for a proper education.
After many months of remote learning, children have likely been behind on their daily exercise goals. As such, some may have put on weight through the lockdown, which would cause parents to consider how to best get them back in shape.
There are solutions available for those in lockdown, such as Alexa skills designed to get people in shape. However, nothing beats getting out and about for a walk, run, or just playing around—especially for kids.
As such, the release of the Fitbit Ace 3 is likely the company’s way to get kids moving again after they’ve been sitting around for so long. With automatic health tracking and pre-set daily goals, it’s a parent’s dream; just set it going and let it do all the exercise monitoring for them.
The Best Fitbit for Your Children
If you’re keen to get your kids out and about once more, Fitbit has you covered. The new Fitbit Ace 3 can help track your child’s activity and ensure they get their daily goals done.
Now that your kid’s exercise plan is all worked out, have you put on a few lockdown pounds yourself? If you have, it may be worth comparing all the Fitbit models out there to find the one that suits you best.
