Fitzgerald usurped Terrell Owens for second place during the fourth quarter of his team’s 26-14 loss to the Chiefs, leaving him behind only Jerry Rice in NFL history.

The 35-year-old finished the game with six catches for 50 yards and now has 1,274 receptions for 15,952 receiving yards.

However, he still has a long way to go to catch the legendary Rice - who finished with 22,895 yards - if he wants to take over top spot.
