I have a strong feeling the storyline is going to build to Maury Povich appearing on “Raw” to break the news to Angle that he “not the father” of Jordan. It will turn out that Jordan and Corey Graves masterminded a plot to have Jordan get ahead in the company by claiming to be Angle’s son.
I’ll let you be the judge of whether the initial payoff to the weeks-long Angle angle was satisfying. I’m going to reserve judgment until seeing where it goes, but giving a talented young performer such as Jordan the rub of being Angle’s son is certainly a positive.

Meanwhile, I have a big reveal of my own. According to my totally legitimate, completely real inside sources, there were five other scenarios considered for what Angle’s secret would be. (OK, I don’t really have any inside sources. I just made these up.):
Katie Vick survived the accident and hooked up with Angle
The Katie Vick story line from 2002 — which featured a simulated act of necrophilia between a Kane-masked Triple H and a mannequin in a casket — is one of the most infamous in wrestling history. In summation: Ten years earlier, after Kane and Vick went to a party together, Kane got in a car accident while driving her home, and Vick was killed instantly. Triple H called Kane a murderer and accused Kane of having post-mortem relations with Katie, which Kane denied.
It turns out that Vick didn’t really die that night. Her family disapproved of her relationship with the monstrous Kane, so they let him believe she was dead and they moved to Pittsburgh to begin a new life. There, Katie — who, as you may recall, was a cheerleader — began a relationship with the class jock at her school, revealed to be Angle. She became pregnant with Angle’s child, and once again, the family moved to avoid scandal.

Katie gave birth to a baby boy, who was put for adoption. And that baby grew up to be…
Dolph Ziggler!
Ziggler, who was a standout amateur wrestler, obviously got that talent from his father. From his mother, he inherited superior cheerleading skills, which he would put to use as a member of WWE’s Spirit Squad.
Eva Marie is Angle’s daughter
Former WWE Diva Dawn Marie confirmed in a 2008 shoot interview that rumors of an affair between her and Angle in the early 2000s are true. Playing off Angle and Dawn Marie’s real-life relationship, it’s revealed that Eva Marie is their love child.
Yeah, I know, the timeline doesn’t add up, as Eva Marie would only be 13 or 14 years old. But this is a soap opera-type story line and on soaps the kids always age rapidly.
The story is that Angle initially tried to keep it a secret that Eva Marie is his daughter because he was embarrassed that someone as awful in the ring as Eva Marie came from his loins.

If WWE wanted to go a more risque route, we would eventually learn that Angle also had an affair with Eva Marie before he knew she was his daughter. It’s common knowledge that Vince McMahon has wanted to do incest story lines in the past, including one in which either he or Shane McMahon was revealed to be the father of Stephanie’s baby. The necrophilia angle doesn’t seem so bad now, does it?
Caught on tape: Angle’s Sunny days
In 2008 when Angle was in TNA, it was rumored that Sunny (Tammy Sytch) was going to be brought in as his love interest but the idea was nixed after several TNA wrestlers buried her to management.
In this story line, Angle and Sunny had a one-night stand back then. Unbeknownst to them, however, someone videotaped the tryst and now that person is blackmailing Angle with a tape of the most…revealing nature.
Angle doesn’t want the tape made public not only because it would damage his image, but also because he is embarrassed by his performance (or lack thereof) on the tape. As it happens, an ashamed Angle couldn’t muster much enthusiasm.
We’ll just call it a squash match.
Angle fathered “The Hand”
What WWE fan could ever forget septuagenarian Mae Young giving birth to a hand after having sex with Mark Henry? Years later, The Hand, all grown up, even showed up on an the 1,000th episode of “Raw.”
MORE: Don’t remember when Mae Young gave birth to a hand? Here you go
We now find out that Angle was the real father of The Hand. Mae wanted her son to be a successful athlete, and she figured her offspring having the genes of an Olympic gold medalist was better than him having the genes of someone who twice failed to medal in the Olympics such as Henry.
Hornswoggle is Angle’s illegitimate son
Just because Hornswoggle always seems to be the go-to for WWE’s mystery reveals.
