It is the lifeblood of the business, seeing superstars joining the company, whose family members had appeared before them has become a regular occurrence.

There’s always a sense of intrigue surrounding that particular superstar, with a lot of questions as to just how far they can go. Randy Orton, for example, is the son of Hall of Famer Bob Orton Jr. and the grandson of Bob Orton Sr. The Viper has surpassed both their achievements in WWE over the last twenty years.

It’s not always an easy feat to live up to the expectations of having a famous last name. Take Carlito for example. Though he is a talented performer, he hasn’t quite hit the heights that his father, Carlos Colón, did throughout his career just yet.

That being said, let’s take a look at five children of WWE legends who could be the next big thing.

#5 Charlie Dempsey could be the next big thing in WWE

Current NXT UK star Charlie Dempsey could be a huge hit someday, especially if he is to follow in his father’s footsteps.

His father is William Regal, and fans may remember Charlie being called Bailey Mathews before his name was changed. Mathews is the real surname of William Regal and Charlie Dempsey.

Regal was one of the finest entertainers of his generation. Not only that, he could hang with anyone who stepped in between the ropes with him. Dempsey has all that same potential in the palm of his hand.

At present, he’s somewhat of a hidden gem on NXT UK, which can only be seen on the WWE Network. Once he has more experience under his belt, there may be an opportunity for him to move up the ranks to NXT 2.0. to aid his progression.

All eyes will be on Charlie Dempsey to see if he can reach the potential that his father achieved during his 30-year career.

#4 Simone Johnson could be the next big thing in WWE

In February 2020, Simone Johnson signed her first WWE contract. What was significant about the signing at the time was the fact that she is the daughter of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

She is the company’s first fourth-generation superstar, and if she has at least half the charisma and ability that her father had, then she has a big future ahead of her.

Of course, they are big boots to fill. Simone is currently training at the Performance Center as she continues to learn. We hope someday soon, we’ll be able to see her in the ring “electrifying” millions and millions of fans all around the world.

#3 Dominik Mysterio could be WWE’s next big superstar

Dominik Mysterio, the son of legendary Lucha Libre superstar Rey Mysterio, made his World Wrestling Entertainment debut in August 2020. He was defeated in his initial outing by Seth Rollins.

He’s already shown his ability on the biggest stages, and once his father has decided to hang up his mask, it could be his time to shine on his own.

Dominik is only in his mid-twenties and has plenty of years ahead of him. Eventually he could become a top babyface in the company, like his father, if his booking is handled correctly.

#2 Solo Sikoa could be the next big thing in WWE

The Anoa’i family legacy is in safe hands with Roman Reigns and The Usos in WWE. However, there is another man who could carry on that legacy for more generations to come: Solo Sikoa.

He is the son of Hall of Famer Rikishi and the younger brother of Jimmy and Jey Uso. It also means he’s the cousin of Roman Reigns. So in many ways, he’s unofficially a part of The Bloodline.

Sikoa has already debuted on NXT 2.0 and has had some impressive showings with victories over Santos Escobar and Boa. He no doubt has a big future ahead of him and could eventually become a huge player on the main roster.

#1 Bron Breakker could be the next big star in WWE

What an impact Bron Breakker has already made so far on NXT 2.0. The son of Rick Steiner, captured the NXT Championship just five months after his debut on the brand.

Bron has quickly been tipped by fans and observers as the next big thing in the company, and he’s showing why. His breathtaking strength and ability to bulldoze his way through his opponents has captured the imagination of the audience.

It’s very likely we will see Bron Breakker reach the main roster this year and make his presence felt. The promotion will just need to make sure they handle his character correctly to allow him to fulfill his potential.
