For some, it’s a once in a lifetime moment when you decide to bite the bullet and go, but for others, it can become a yearly tradition. There are people all over the globe that save up their pounds or dollars for months on end to purchase tickets to the show of shows.

When you travel to the host city for the occasion, it becomes much more than just a wrestling show - it’s a celebration of everything we love about professional wrestling. You meet new people, experience new cultures and likely have the time of your life. So as we look ahead to Orlando, there are plenty of reasons to be excited if you’ve already booked your place at the granddaddy of them all.

With that being said, let’s take a look at five reasons why you should be excited about attending WrestleMania 33. Oh, and if you aren’t going - then get yourself on Ticketmaster and start arranging your flights because you only have one life. Live it.

#1 Orlando tourism

In terms of tourist areas in the United States of America, you aren’t going to get many that are better than Orlando. Whether you’re travelling from outside or within the country itself, you’re guaranteed to find something you’ll enjoy with a whole host of events on offer. Also, the likelihood of the weather being decent is pretty high.

You’ve got the Orlando Magic, Disneyland, Universal Studios, the numerous food chains and bars - the list goes on and on. While WrestleMania week allows you to indulge in various wrestling-based events, you can also take in so much of the beauty around the host city and Orlando isn’t short on that, whatsoever. If you’re looking for a good time, you’ll find it one way or another down there.

Onto the place that will house the show of shows.

#2 Citrus Bowl

Back in 2008 when Orlando last hosted WrestleMania, the Citrus Bowl received some negative reviews for the state of the stadium itself. Thankfully, almost a decade later, there have been extensive renovations, and the Bowl is once again a logistically sound place to hold an event of this magnitude. The open air will create a fun atmosphere and if WM24 is anything to go by, the set is going to be extraordinary.

Plus, the attendance will likely be perfect. In the years gone by there have been many Mania events, but the most successful editions always tend to have crowds in the region of 75,000.

Now over to something that’s slightly more low key.

#3 Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame ceremony is always a lot of fun for both fans and the superstars, as we are given the opportunity to bask in the glory of some of sports entertainment’s most legendary figures. With Kurt Angle being the first name announced this year you can guarantee that it’ll be a star-studded lineup, especially given some of the rumours going round about potential inductees.

It offers the WWE universe something a little bit different in the sense that they can see some of their heroes in a different kind of capacity. Both on-stage and in the crowd, they’ll see wrestlers from all eras dress up for one of the fanciest nights in the WWE calendar. Prepare for all sorts of emotions upon listening to some of these legends’ famous stories.

From the past to the future.

NXT Takeover: Orlando

NXT Takeover events are fantastic. No matter what the build or the card is like, you can always guarantee some solid wrestling displays that will serve to blow you away. These guys and girls are putting on the matches of their lives in order to impress the fans, and this upcoming Takeover, in particular, is going to be that little bit more special.

As many people know, Orlando is NXT’s home. Both in terms of Full Sail and the Performance Center, this is where the developmental territory really found its feet and began to climb up the ladder of success. There’s bound to be emotions in the air and there’s a possibility we’ll see some old faces return, with the likes of Asuka and Tye Dillinger among many others set to prove themselves on the NXT stage once again.

Our final point may well be the most obvious.

#5 Stacked show

Last year, WrestleMania 32 felt cursed. The Arlington show was struck by a number of injuries to top superstars that crippled the card, leaving the end result a little more flat than usual. It was harsh on WWE, who built the show up as one of the best ever, but that’s the way things go in this business and you have to go with the hand you’re dealt.

However, this year, everything is lining up to be pretty spectacular. Both in terms of main roster superstars and past legends, the majority of stars have been given a clean bill of health, with the exception of Finn Balor, who looks set to return any day now. The show is going to be one of the most stacked Mania cards in history, and as a result, we could be in for one of the greatest WWE events of all time.

We’ll see you in Orlando.
