Tuimoloau said on CBS Sports HQ that he was joining Ohio State, adding to a recruiting class that already ranked No. 2 in the 247Sports Team Recruiting rankings. 

The defensive end is No. 3 in 247Sports’ Composite Rankings; 247Sports ranks him No. 1 overall, Rivals ranks him at No. 6 and ESPN places him at No. 4. He was the last member of the 247Sports Top 100 to announce a decision.

“Go, Buckeyes, and we’ll be out there soon,” Tuimoloau said in making his decision. 

Tuimoloau is the second top-five recruit and third top-10 recruit to commit to the Buckeyes from the 2021 class. He joins defensive end Jack Sawyer (No. 4), giving the Buckeyes two of the top three defensive line recruits, and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka (No. 9). 

According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, the Buckeyes now have five five-star recruits, with running back TreVeyon Henderson (No. 22) and quarterback Kyle McCord (No. 27) rounding out the group. Only Alabama has more five-star recruits, with seven.
