Beckner is the No. 13 player and the No. 2 defensive tackle in the country, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He had one of the most varied offer sheets in the country, also grabbing big attention from Florida State and LSU.
A 6-4, 293-pound defensive tackle, Beckner was a first-team All-USA selection and a top-five recruit by other national services after having more than 115 tackles in both his junior and senior seasons.
SN contributor TJ Gaynor’s scouting report on Beckner highlighted the new Tigers player’s raw athleticism, lower-body strength and “terrifying tackle takedowns.”
Beckner’s signing brings the Tigers’ class up to No. 29 in the country. He will continue a recent tradition of dominant defensive linemen for Missouri, who boasts Michael Sam and Shane Ray as recent stars.
