Heron, the No. 23 overall player in the class of 2016 according247Sports Composite rankings, joins Jared Harper and Anfernee McLemore, moving Auburn’s recruiting class to No. 7 in the nation. Stacey Davis of NYCHoops.net was the first to report on Heron’s committment.
Heron, from Waterbury, Conn., represents Bruce Pearl’s biggest commitment in his time at Auburn. Heron had narrowed his choices to Alabama, Mississippi State, Marquette and St. John’s before committing Saturday.
