After four successful years in high school, the 6-foot-3 combo guard has received scholarship offers from some of the most decorated colleges in the country. He’s currently undecided on Kentucky, Kansas, LSU, Arizona and Mississippi State, according to 24/7 Sports.

Newman, a five-star recruit and the No. 1 point guard in the nation, averaged 29.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game as a senior, getting his gaudy numbers in a variety of ways. He boasts NBA range on his jump shot and the combination of his speed and athleticism make him a nightmare matchup on a nightly basis.
Newman was named a first team Naismith All-American this season. It’s easy to see why.
Newman will appear in the 2015 McDonald’s All-American Game on Wednesday.
