That ends a long-winding recruiting process for one of the most talented players in the class of 2020, and it gives the Horned Frogs their highest-ranked recruit ever, according to 247Sports.com.
Evans, who played at Galena Park North Shore High School in Houston, still can’t sign a letter of intent because he already signed one with Georgia. The Bulldogs, however, released Evans from that national letter of intent with no restrictions in January.

Evans, a 6-1, 210-pound back, has been compared to Adrian Peterson. He rushed for 3,268 yards and 56 TDs between this sophomore and junior seasons. He added 1,599 yards and 20 TDs as a senior.
Despite the talent, drama has followed the running back. He was suspended a few hours before the 6A-Division I state championship game in Texas for a violating a team rule involving cell phone usage. He signed with Georgia during the early signing period, but he was released from that LOI, which opened the recruiting process again.
Evans can enroll at TCU and not miss any time in the 2020 football season.
The Horned Frogs are getting a talented player at running back who will face high expectations given the school’s all-time leading rusher is LaDainian Tomlinson, who finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2000. Tomlinson finished with 5,263 rushing yards and 54 TDs at TCU, both of which are school records.
